SafeUnfollow is built specifically to reduce that risk. It never uses your password, works at a randomized human-like pace (30–60 seconds between actions), and enforces a daily limit that stops automatically. You unfollow gradually — the way a careful person would.
No tool can guarantee this. Instagram can restrict any account at any time, sometimes silently and with no on-screen warning. SafeUnfollow stops as soon as it detects a limit warning, but a silent restriction is not detectable by any extension. If your account does get restricted, stop all follow/unfollow activity for at least 24 hours.
